Moreover, Samsung has always done well at maintaining a unique high-grade feel even on their budget line-up. This is one of the characteristics that make the brand stand out from many others. Although, the smartphone’s design doesn’t conform with modern aesthetics. The top and bottom bezels still take the form of the older design pattern in a 16:9 aspect display. Contrary to the trending ultra-slim bezel design, the bezels on the Samsung Galaxy J3 Orbit are a bit chunky. Aside from that, the Samsung Galaxy J3 Orbit doesn’t really look like a budget smartphone. It has a sleek design that makes it look elegant. Despite its mostly plastic build, the Samsung Galaxy J3 Orbit feels very premium. It has a matte black finish on its back that makes it cooler. However, its matte black finish makes it a little bit slippery in the hand. To reduce the tendency of the smartphone from slipping off your palm, Samsung made the edges and sides of the device a bit rough. Thanks to its plastic build, the Samsung Galaxy J3 Orbit weighs just 152 g, making it considerably light. Moreover, its 142.5 x 71.1 x 10.2 mm dimension makes it fit perfectly into the hand. At the bottom, there’s a micro USB charging port. Unfortunately, there’s no USB Type-C port. The bottom of the phone also houses a headphone jack and a microphone positioned alongside the micro USB charging port. Moving over to the back of the smartphone, there’s a rear camera as expected. Much to my delight, the Samsung Galaxy J3 Orbit’s rear camera performs considerably well. Pictures taken with the smartphone come out with good details. Although, this result isn’t exactly the same in lowlight conditions, images taken in this condition are a bit okay too. For a budget smartphone, this smartphone’s camera can be considered to be quite solid. Moreover, the rear camera features auto-focus and LED flash light that helps improve picture quality. Likewise, the front camera is also equipped with the auto-focus feature that improves its performance. In addition, the Samsung Galaxy J3 Orbit is capable of recording videos in 1080p which is awesome considering that it’s a budget smartphone. Besides, the Samsung Galaxy J3 Orbit is one of those few smartphones that has this feature in both its rear and selfie cameras. In conclusion, this smartphone’s camera is relatively fair for its price. Therefore, it scores a seven in this review.

To make it worst, the Samsung Galaxy J3 Orbit doesn’t support fast charging. Nonetheless, the battery charges up to full capacity from 0% in less than 2 hours because of its small capacity. For those that don’t store a lot of files and data, this capacity is sufficient enough. However, it is only a matter of time until those files add up to consume the storage capacity. Moreover, the real capacity available for storage is 9 GB since the operating system uses about 7 GB of the internal storage capacity. Fortunately, you can expand the storage on this device with up to 256 GB of SD card. This enhances storage management on the smartphone. You can store more files on the external microSD card. Hence, the Samsung Galaxy J3 Orbit scores a seven in this review for its good storage options.
